CHRISTIANITY IN THE U.S WILL BE NON-EXISTENCE IF FAITH-BASED GROUPS CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE IDEOLOGIES OF THE REPUBLICANS LEADERSHIP

As Christians, we attempt to be sympathetic to the Republic party platform because of its antificial and perverse effort to project concerns that are dear to true Christian values and natural moral law. But Christian values and natural moral law are not limited to one or two principles nor are they blind to the suffering of the poor at the advantage of the super wealthy and heartless corporation executives. Most members of the Republic leadership, in recent days, shout and whine about abortion and people sexual orientations. Granted. Those are core precepts with vivid scriptural tones, but those were not the central concerns of Jesus' economics of salvation. Neither were they the pivotal lines and undertones of all of the prophets of old message of faith and redemption, according to the Scriptures. It is one thing to preach salvation and another thing to practice and fulfill salvific acts. The fact is, it is useless preaching anti-abortion and and anti-gay ideologies under the disguise of being conservatives and people of 'faith' when the same very people who profess these "values" consistently surpress and vote against measures that would help the most vulnerable people in our society; preach nothing but war and rumours of wars so that unwanted and meaningless defense contractors will continue being in business and campaign finance funds will continue to flow to them. It is a shame that a group of people would consistently say nothing but "no" to not just everything that is aimed at helping the poor and middle class, but to twist good deeds at all cause. It is also categorically unchristian and would be completely equivalent to what is considered a "sin" in the Christian faith for a group of people behaving like pharisees and sadducess to hijack a good faith that suppose to serve as a guide to the conscience of the Christian faithful. Is not this the same thing the people we Americans called "Islamic terrorists or Jihadists" do to the decent and peaceful religion of Islam? Jihadists twist the virtues and values of Islam in ways that make them not only attract followers, but to perpetuate useless causes with blind support of your their loyalists who will otherwise be known as their own conservatives. It is also absolutely nonsensical for some members of congress to continuously support greedy and insensitive wealthy people, investors and corporations under the unreasonable notion that capitalism and business or investment freedoms are tools that make the United States stronger. A people are only stronger if they look out for least amongst them and not when they cherish the most powerful in their midst. Christianity does not ascribe to blind and selfish alliance with the immorality of rich people neither does it support greed, selfishness and individualism. Every true faith supports altruism, sharing, and seeks the interest of the poor as well as the wellbeing and protection of the entire society. That is not socialism, it is being your "brother and sister's keeper." These are core values and principles in nothing but pure and dignified Christian faith and teachings. In this untold and unwanted economic mess of 2007 up till now, when people are suffering and internally hurting beyond compare, yet, we hear some congressional members from the Republic circle talking about federal budget deficits. What is a deficit when human dignity is compromised? Is deficit better than human life? Is the protection of rich corporations like Exxon Mobil, Goldman Sach, Citibank, AIG and other insurance groups, and powerful wealthy individuals superseding making sure that poor commuities are assisted with survival means? What type of whacko and twisted christianity is that? Such christianity would be no different from the thoughts and actions of "al Quada philosophy" in every form and shape in as much human beings are affected and continue to feel pains because they can not have basic needs. Also, Christians are usually the last people to support war and funding for wars. Christians should also be the last people to block ongoing help, such as unemployment benefits and healthcare reform so that poor and suffering people who do not wish such misfortune on themselves to benefit. It is also totally unChristian to criminalize your fellow human beings just because they are seeking opportunities similar to what our parents sought for which we call ourselves Americans? If the Republic party is a true faith-based and evangelical alliance party, then it should be the one that should exercise moral control and tolerance in the United States as well as pursues the interest of the poor and needy rather than the rich and Wall Street. Instead it is doing otherwise. It has projected itself as the Party of pharisees and sadduces. It is a Party that supports the "haves" rather than the "have nots." Spokepersons for the party do not just stop there, they advocate support for violence in ways that true Christians would find stomach - running. In no way will a true Christian support guns in cities and communities and any other instruments of harm and destruction to be legal when innocent families are being hurt by gun violence from criminals. Although immigration illegality is wrong (and in noway anyone and I will support illegal immigration), and should be addressed, but to see Republic spokepersons campaign in an inhumane manners against their fellow opportunity seeking human beings, as we continue to see and hear surprisingly their leadership, is unworthy and devilish. Many of the thinking of, and talks that come out of most members of the Republican leadership and congresional group are far from being close to that of a true faithful believer of Christian morality. If criminalizing a person just because they want to make their children's lives better than their is a grave crime, then we think such crime is indeed moral and Christian. The Republican party, which I sincerely cherished based on my faith as a Christian, has a leadership that is "using" the Christian groups of the United States. In the days of Jesus as we have learned from the history of early Christian evolution, there were pharisees and sadduces that picked one or two Christian values, misread, mis-interpreted and twisted them to justify their control of the faithful. This is exactly what the Republican Party's adherents seem to be doing with the issues of abortion and gay marriage. There are far more important human concerns that are really at risk than only being oppose to other peoples' private life and decisions. Christian and other major world religions' doctrines dictate that we the faithfuls be "our brothers and sisters' keeper." If your brother or sister is going atray, pray for, help and confront them with care, concern and love not hate, paid columnists' articles and greedy corporations sponsored tea parties of a bunch of misguided people with no or limited Christian values. As a Christian and devoted Catholic, it pains me when the Christian faith is being hijacked in such a misrepresented manner by a group of people who really do not attend church service at all. What this does is that, it weakens the commitment of real and true Christians in the United States every time they see their faith affilliates with groups that are unChristians in words and deeds. Practically, if you deduct the immigrant population (both legal and illegal), the Catholic Church, my Church, will be empty and almost zero in membership. The Christian faith in the United States is heading for total extinction because what we see today in most states is the after effect of Christianity, where people call themselves Christians simply in name and not practice. One reason for this is because of the positions and alliance of the Christian leadership, particularly the evangelicals, with groups that reflect negative impact and misguided values in the American society. The essence of the preceding points are in no way suggesting that all Republics advocates are totally bad or unfaithful, but if the Party is protraying itself as working and channeling its philosophy on conservative Christian faith, then it should be and live up to true Christian values and philosophy in a manner that does not conflict with Jesus' economics of salvation. Failure of the Republic party to redirect course and chart true Christian or faith-based values, and if faith based groups, especially the evangelicals, continue to align with the Party despite its apparent unChristian practices which find expression in its paid newspaper columnists' writings; talk shows' frontmen and women diatribe; and aggressive congressional members' lack of common sense statements, the Christian faith will soon be non - existence in the United States. People will avoid the evangelicals or the mother church because of its pharisaic collaboration. People are dying and hurting in communities. Let these people, the Republican conservatives, prove that they are real Christians and conservatives by living up to what it means to be faith -based. Issurance and credit card companies and banks are sucking poor people dry every day. Yet the " Jesus people" are the obstructionists to all things but protection of corporate interest. They do so because their jobs are secure; homes are paid off; have free cars and the best free health insurance for their families. Those of us who have to worry about our children's student loan in addition to ours see things differently. The actions of the Republican leadership is not what Jesus Christ would do.
